Stop looking in the rearview mirror, it may cause a crash.

So I've been thinking a lot about this lately, why is time going by so fast? It seems like it was yesterday when I ran to the door to say goodbye to my brothers and sister when they left for school and then when they got home we went outside and just played all day, no worries. And now, I'm over half way done with high school! My brothers are both out of high school and have no career yet or thier own places, my sister is graduating in two months, and since I decided to skip a grade I have just a little over a year left! Sometimes I wonder if it was a good choice, skipping eighth grade, and then I look around me and see the amazing friends I have because of it. When I first went to ninth grade at Nampa High the first person to talk to me was Leticia Perez, she saw I didn't have a partner on a art project in History and invited me to join her group, so I went and did the project with her and the others that were in the group. After that project I never tried to talk to them again, which for me was a huge mistake! I made some friends that year, but I know that if I kept talking to Leticia my ninth grade year would have been amazing! The next year, Leticia was in three of my classes, including choir, and she was completely and totally clueless about anything music related, so Angela and I helped her out. Ever since then we have been the bestest freinds anyone will ever meet! A few days ago Angela, Leticia, a friend of ours, and I were sitting outside at lunch and then we began to talk about graduating and going off to college and we almost all cried, I am honestly very scared to graduate and go to college. I know it will be amazing, but I am most likely going to a college across the Nation! However, I am very very excited to see what is around the corner. I have learned to stop looking into the rearview mirror, it may cause a crash.

That is so true!!! I don't want to miss any of the 'now', or screw up any of the 'next' just because I'm missing the 'once'!
That's so awesome, about your friendship with Lety! It's a gift from God, really, and it makes it definitely good that you skipped a grade. (Smarty pants, you! :D )

Thanks for this reminder, Xtina. The only way to reach the end of God's plan for us and heaven is to keep moving forward. :D
